A Quilters Journey Through New England
Past and Present
Narrated Slide Presentation by Kimberly Wulfert, PhD

This narrated slide presentation is fun, highly educational and visually interesting . . . not a sleeper by any means. I teach about early 18th to 19th century quilt and textile history, focusing on the New England area, where the textile Industrial Revolution began in the US. My slides and text present the manufacturing, mills, quilts, looms and so on, used at that time. I cover major New England museums and their own history, unique buildings and grounds. You will get a a taste of their quilts and exhibits. One could plan a visit around this show. Currently, the 1997 New England Quilt Guild Show is included, as are some quilt shops and other places of interest in Mass, NH, VT, Amish country and DE. I also bring a few antique quilts from New England, which I show at the end of the presentation. This presentation lasts about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
